330 Sussex Drive in Ottawa is a Canadian heritage landmark that first housed the Public Archives (1905-1967) and then the Canadian War Museum (1967-2005). The building has undergone a significant revitalization to serve as the new international headquarters of the Global Centre for Pluralism. The Centre’s new headquarters officially opened in May 2017.
During visitor hours, the Centre’s main floor is open to the public for self-guided tours and volunteers are available to answer questions. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide tours outside of visitor hours.
The Centre’s Forecourt Garden is a featured destination on the Ottawa Garden Promenade and is a tranquil space that can be accessed by passersby at any time of day. The selection and arrangement of plants have transformed the forecourt into a unique and engaging urban garden experience.
The Centre will re-open for public tours in Spring 2018.
Beginning May 19, 2018, the Centre is open for tours on Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m. No booking is required. Please note that this schedule is subject to change, check the website in advance for exceptions.
