Ottawa Horticultural Society: The mission of the Ottawa Horticultural Society is to cultivate an interest in plants and gardening in order to create a beautiful community. The OHS as we know it today has a long history.  It started in 1892 and is a non-profit society open to all gardeners who enjoy sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge of gardening.  We have over 300 members, and our activities include regular meetings with speakers, community projects and competitions. Membership is $15 for an individual or $20 for a family and includes benefits such as an informative newsletter three times per year, tours of members’ gardens, and discounts at select local nurseries. At the provincial level we are affiliated with the Ontario Horticultural Association, District 2.

Master Gardeners of Ottawa Carleton: A group of trained volunteer Master Gardeners in the Ottawa area who offer free garden advice and help year round.

Friends of the Farm: The Friends of the Central Experimental Farm (FCEF) is a volunteer organization helping to care for the Arboretum, the Ornamental Gardens and other public areas of the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Wild Pollinator Partners: The WPP-PPS network brings together people who are interested in wild pollinators, concerned about their resilience and survival, and are motivated to help. We seek to raise awareness, share information and resources, offer learning opportunites and events, support pollinator habitat protection & creation, as well as encourage appropriate, responsible action.

The Ottawa Field-Naturalists’ Club: Over 800 members participate in many aspects of the natural world, from birding to botanizing, investigation to publication, conservation to cooperation.
